LOCATION & OVERVIEW
Located in the walled enclosure of the medieval town, right next to the Portal de Tàrrega which was the entrance to the town from the west on the road from La Bovera, Verdú and Tàrrega. It is at the beginning of Carrer de la Cendra and next to the beginning of Carrer Major. If we go down this street, we will enter a shed formed by Cal Minguella and other houses that will take us in two minutes to the Plaça Major, the center of the medieval town.
Can Pinós de Guimerà is an 18th century building that retains the characteristic features of Guimerà houses, stone and wood, but has all the comforts of the 21st century. In the house you will find all kinds of details that explain the passage of time.

THE TOWN
The real attraction of Guimerà is the medieval centre, a maze of streets that go up towards the church of Santa Maria or towards the Tower, creating an original game of architectural forms.You will see many arcades, sheds, stairs… all very well preserved. The streets in the lower part of the town are crossed by walkways either in a covered gallery or on a balcony.
The houses have access to a street through the main entrance and to another upper level through the attic. Strolling through its streets, the stone houses with details and decorative elements of doors, windows and arcades, make you travel back from the 21st century to X
Don’t miss the opportunity to see the Altarpiece of J. M. Jujol and the replica of the Altarpiece of Guimerà by Ramon de Mur (in the church of Sta. Maria), the remains of the Monastery of Vallsanta (in La Cort del Batlle) and the Market Medieval, the second weekend of August.
